May 2007
May has been a busy month for Whitt Racing. Pavement tests at IRP and three to four day race weekends is giving Cole valuable seat time and experience. So far Cole has not missed a feature event and is visiting new tracks. Cole traveled to Haubstadt for the MSCS show and finished a respectable 10th place.

He then followed up the weekend with a 3rd place finish at Vermillion County Speedway and a 7th place finish at the North Vernon KISS Race. A rough weekend at Bloomington Speedway had the crew working hard to get a very damaged race car ready after a crash in the heat race which pretty much damaged every component on the car. Cole finished the heat in 5th from his 8th place starting spot placing him on the outside front row of the B main. The crew worked hard and Cole finished 2nd in the B transferring to the A feature. A loose steering arm would make his attempts to go forward unlikely however Cole held on to a 18th finish “I would like to thank everyone that helped out in the pits to get me back out there…everyone did a great job” stated Cole. Sunday’s at Kokomo is one of Cole’s favorite tracks. Cole qualified an impressive 4th quick and finished 8th in the feature.
