ANOTHER TOP FIVE FOR WHITT IN USAC SPRINT CAR
Friday night June 26th- saw the USAC National Sprint Car series travel to Richmond International Raceway where Cole would compete for the first time. The race event was scheduled as a support class for the Indy Racing League and the great news was that due to a recent 18th birthday celebration, Cole would be allowed to compete!  The event was an all day schedule of on track practice and qualifying between the IRL, USAC Sprints and Silvercrown cars. Cole Whitt came out of the gate strong and qualified 5th. Whitt drove a smart race and was able to maintain track position throughout the 60 lap feature and pass Bobby East in the final closing laps to finish 4th.

Upon returning from the 11 hour road trip back from Virginia, Cole and C-Squared Motorsports took the 29w sprint car to the local race at Kokomo on Sunday night. On this occasion, Cole’s early draw saw him qualify in the first group on a non favorable track resulting 26th in the 38 car field. Cole knew he would have to race his way into the feature. After a hard charge through the heat race to finish 3rd, Cole transferred to the main event but would start from the last row. Cole drove hard and was able to race and make passes where most were not. Whitt finished a hard earned 8th place from 20th.

While last weekend was a lighter schedule, this weekend picks up with racing on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for Cole in both the USAC National midget and sprint car.
