Whitt Travels to Cold Texas and Finishes in Top 10 in One of Two (Planned) |

Monday, March 16, 2009 – The USAC National Midget series had a plan to run two races in the state of Texas this past weekend. However, the funny thing about plans in early spring is that those plans can be altered without notice. After a practice session on Thursday night, Mother Nature won the race event on Friday in Wichita Falls. Therefore, Cole Whitt and his no. 1 Red Bull / Toyota Midget traveled south to Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle, Texas, where he would race on Saturday. |

WHITT FINISHES TOP 10 IN BOTH USAC SPRINT CAR AND MIDGET AT PERRIS |

Monday, March 2, 2009 – Round three for both the USAC Sprint Car and Midget National series took place in Perris, CA at Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday night. This race will conclude the west coast swing for the USAC National series until next fall. Therefore, for Cole Whitt it was a final race near his home on the west coast, until next fall. |

Friday, February 27, 2009 – The second round for the 2009 USAC National Sprint Car and Midget series took place Wednesday night in Las Vegas, NV. The event was held at the 1/2 mile Dirt Track adjacent to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The track conditions were treacherous as the evening moved forward. A condition known as "rubber down" developed on the dirt. This type of track condition means that tires are known to come apart due to the tremendous grip that develops as rubber builds onto of the dirt. |

Whitt Begins 2009 USAC Sprint Car / Midget Season in Arizona |

Tuesday, February 24, 2009 – The 2009 dirt oval season officially began for USAC in Phoenix, AZ this past weekend. USAC held a two night event for all three major national series (midget, sprint, silver crown) with one feature race held on Saturday, February 21. This meant that Cole Whitt was able to return to the track in both the sprint car and midget class. The return to the track was a mix of known and unknown elements for Cole and his Keith Kunz Motorsports team. |

RAIN CREATES UNUSUAL, SHORT RACE FOR WHITT |

Friday, January 30, 2009 – An unusual set of circumstances cut Cole Whitt's, as well as the entire 52 car field, night short at the Toyota All-Star Showdown. The plan was for Whitt to run in the Rip Michels #93 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Super Late Model. However, after three days of rain there was no time to qualify the cars, so the top-twenty Toyota Speedway Super Late Model drivers from last year were given the top 20 positions in order of their 2008 points. After this, the next 20 starting positions would be by a draw. |
