Non Stop Racing Til' The Break of Dawn at Indiana Midget Week

After last weeks updates, we continue with Cole at Gas City, IN.  The racing was fast and furious for all drivers.  Cole’s #71 KKM midget came out quick in the 48 car field.  After qualifying fourth, Cole worked his way into the feature race through the B-Main.  In the feature, Cole lead 25 of the 30 lap feature until lapped traffic came into play, Whitt drove a mature race to finish in second after a third starting position.

Cole Whitt has enjoyed a lot of success and racing accolades, but the milestone the teenager will always treasure is the time he passed Tony Stewart, qualifying the young driver for the 2008 Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.

Busy Session for Cole Whitt as he Performs in Multiple States in Five Days
The past weekend was a truly crazy adventure for Cole and his team.  The very nature of the USAC National racing schedule is one that pushes all involved to sometimes travel hundreds of miles on back-to-back-to-back evenings.  The weekend started with a 650 mile trip to Belleville, KS for the Belleville Midget Nationals.  The road trip swing concluded with a rare Tuesday race 500 miles away in Iowa.  In between a return trip for a race in Indiana meant a packed schedule.

WHITT CONTINUES BUSY SCHEDULE: USAC INDIANA SPRINT WEEK, TERRA HAUTE ACTION TRACK IN USAC SILVER CROWN, O’REILLY RACEWAY PARK IN USAC MIDGET
Cole Whitt has continued his pace of running as many races as he can this season every week.  The week began with the finish of the USAC Indiana Sprint Week, moved to the Terra Haute Action Track for USAC Silver Crown, and then to O’Reilly Raceway Park for the USAC Midget race.

Indiana Sprint Week Weekend 2

Thursday is the first of the three remaining races left in the 2008 Indiana Sprint Week schedule of race events.  The three events in consecutive nights once again test man, machine, and crew in a battle of speed and endurance.  The points for Sprint Week are close as are the 2008 USAC National points.  Therefore, it is going to be three more exciting nights of racing for the 60 sprint cars expected at each event.  Cole Whitt and the 67k will look to capitalize on the success from last weekend.  As the points currently stand, Whitt is third in the Sprint Week standings and second in the USAC National points.
